Form 990 Preparation

Almost every organization exempt from federal income tax must file some version of the form 990. Once filed those form are in almost all cases available to anyone who wants to see them. Few industries are subject to as much scrutiny as nonprofit organizations are. Is your nonprofit ready for such scrutiny? Are you and your board confident that your form 990 or 990EZ tells an accurate story about your organization?

For the returns filed in 2011, reporting about your 2010 tax year, the gross receipts threshold for filing the full form 990 have dropped to $200,000. This means that organizations that have not had to file the updated form 990 with its increased disclosure requirements will now have to do so. Strand and Associates can help you make sure your organization has the policies and practices that the updated form asks for in place by the time you have to file.

Strand and Associates is dedicated to helping your nonprofit be the best that it can be through sound management, governance and financial stewardship. Look to us to help you prepare your forms and answer your questions and present an honest picture of your organization to the world.
